About

I don’t know how you found this blog, or why you’re here, but whatever it is, it was enough for you to click on this page.  Perhaps you read a post of mine and you found yourself inspired, curious and wanting to read more.  Or perhaps you read a post of mine and were flabbergasted, appalled and you’re seeking to destroy me.  Perhaps it’s something in-between.  When I decided to start this blog, I was intent on making it a safe place for Christian women who do not fit the traditional mold to come express their opinions and join a community.  I was going to name it something cheesy like, “In Pursuit of Womanhood”.  But Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, interrupted that vision one night by giving me a dream with the name for this blog: As Sweet as Honey.  I immediately took to the internet when I woke up and a verse stood out to me:

Proverbs 24:13-14 (KJV)

My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste: So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.

About This Blog…

My mission statement is simple: Pursue God’s truth, no matter what because, in the end, His truth is what matters.  So even though the truth of a matter may leave you with a bitter taste in your mouth, I would argue that it will be sweet to your soul and you will be greatly rewarded for seeking it.  This blog is a journey, for men and women alike, to uncover the truth that God has given in His word and apply it to daily life and current events.  These will not be topics for the sensitive, fragile, easily offended or close-minded.  We are leaving the world of political correctness and self-righteous moral policing behind and digging into the heart of a matter.  I want this to be a learning experience for you and me.  I want to grow together with fellow believers, outspoken Christians and passionate lovers of Jesus Christ.  If you so choose to join me, I am happy to have you.  Oh, and if you love food like I do, come join my cooking adventures as well.  We have a lot of ground to cover.

I don’t know how you found this blog, or why you’re here, but whatever it is, my prayer for you is the same: May God touch your heart, renew your mind and restore unto you the joy of His salvation.

About Me…

Let me properly introduce myself.  My name is Ana.  I have lived in the Midwest my entire life.  As I am starting this blog, I am single, in my mid-20’s and in graduate school.  As an undergrad I received degrees in chemistry and chemical engineering.  I have a beautiful, big white German Shepherd named Hunter (pictured below).  Everything I own is covered in his fur.  I am multi-racial; mostly black and Korean with a little sprinkle of Irish and Cherokee Indian.  I am an awkward 6-feet tall and tower above most of my friends.  I love cooking and trying new food, which is why I made food a part of this blog.  Lastly, I like to stay informed and up-to-date on social and political issues.  I think it’s important to know what is going on so we know what to pray for.  No matter what the issue, I am always on the side of Jesus and am always open to hearing different opinions.
